Mediterranean Turkey Burgers
So, it has been almost a year that I went mainly plant based on my diet. Besides the overwhelming evidence of the health benefits, my body was just not craving meat anymore. Turning 40 has taught me to listen to my body and to what it needs. While I was never a big meat eater to begin with, grilled chicken and turkey were my go to's for lean protein and muscle recovery after my daily workouts.
So let's start with these bad boys! I love anything Mediterranean based so in went the olives, red pepper, red onions, tomatoes, and feta. All mixed in to make it super juicy -Yum! So many flavors here and so many options to have this burger. Bun, naked, over greens! I added in a side of zucchini fries from my prime day air fryer deal (seriously, get one!) Add in a cool Summer night in the backyard with the fam and it was nearly perfect!
Great for that family BBQ or really any night of the week! Plus you can double the batch and freeze extras for a later date! Don't forget to tag me on Instagram if you give them a try! Love seeing your creations! It makes me smile!
